Sixth Avenue station on the Downtown Line sits approximately 630 metres from the site. The Downtown Line runs through Botanic Gardens, which interchanges with the Circle Line, then Newton for the North South Line and Little India for the North East Line, before continuing into Bugis, Promenade and the Bayfront.
For a commute into the central business district that is a single ride with no surface leg. For journeys that need another line, the interchanges arrive within the first few stops rather than requiring a detour.
The Future Turf City Station
A Turf City station on the Cross Island Line is planned within the wider Bukit Timah Turf City precinct. The Cross Island Line is being built as an east–west spine across the island, and its arrival would give this part of Bukit Timah a second line and a fundamentally different connectivity profile.
It should be weighed as a planned improvement rather than an existing one. Rail projects of this scale run to long timelines and dates move. Buying on the strength of a station that is not yet operating is a different decision from buying on the strength of one that is, and it is worth being clear with yourself about which you are doing.
Buses from Dunearn Road
The nearest bus stop is roughly 80 metres from the site, just after Swiss Club Road. For short local journeys along the Bukit Timah corridor — the market, Coronation, a school gate — that proximity does more daily work than the walk to the MRT. Bukit Timah Road and Dunearn Road are both well-served corridors.
Driving from Dunearn Road
Dunearn Road and Bukit Timah Road operate as a paired one-way system, one carrying traffic towards town and the other outbound towards Upper Bukit Timah. The Pan-Island Expressway is reached quickly from this stretch, and the Bukit Timah Expressway a little further north for journeys towards Woodlands and the Causeway.
Orchard Road is a direct run along Bukit Timah Road rather than a cross-island journey, which is one of the practical advantages of this address over comparable suburban locations.
What the Precinct Plans Say About Traffic
Precinct planning material notes that road improvements are being studied to accommodate traffic from the new Bukit Timah Turf City developments, including the widening of Eng Neo Avenue, Dunearn Road and Bukit Timah Road. It also indicates that developments in the precinct will provide fewer parking lots, on the expectation of reduced private-vehicle reliance as the estate is built out with amenities within a short walk or cycle.
